NEET-PG Counselling 2023

In compliance of the Order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 23/03/2012 passed in I.A No. 16/2012 in Civil Appeal No. 1944 of 1993 – Anand S.Biji Vs State of Kerala & Others and in order to comply with the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 09/5/2017 passed in Writ Petition© No.267 of 2017 –Dar-Us-Slam Educational Trust & Ors Vs MCI & Ors. Directorate General of health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has been entrusted with the responsibility to hold on-line counseling for 50% All India Quota Post-Graduate Medical and Dental seats and also as per the notification issued by the MCI for common counseling

MCC will conduct counseling for the following Institutions/Universities:-

  1. 50% All India Quota seats of all states except J&K.
  2. 100% seats (All India Quota seats + Institutional Quota seats) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/ Central Institutes as per eligibility conditions mentioned in Important Questions related to Scheme of Counselling duly uploaded on MCC website.
  3. 100% seats of Deemed Universities.
  4. 50% AIQ P.G seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation (wards of ESIC insured persons).
  5. All P.G seats of Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions(only Registration part).
  6. Central Institutes, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, ABVIMS & RML Hospital and ESIC Institute, PGIMSR, Basaidarapur(50% All India Quota seats and 50% seats of I.P University).

Students may note the following points:-

  1. For participation in NEET PG Counselling 2023 candidates are required to go for Registration at official website of Medical Counseling Committee (www.mcc.nic.in).
  2. Candidates to note that Non- Refundable registration fees and Refundable Security Deposit have to be paid by the candidate at the time of registration as per their category.
  3. The Refundable Security Deposit of candidates who do not join the seats allotted to them in Round-2 / Mop Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round will be Forfeited.
  4. Reservation of seats under PwD Category will be 5% as per Gazette Notification of MCI.

Candidates who have cleared the examination and have been included in the 50% AIQ merit list could register for the first round of NEET PG 2023 counselling using the link given below. The counselling of NEET PG 2023 is being conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on behalf of the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. Candidates must note that it is mandatory to clear NEET PG 2022 to participate in the counselling process. NEET PG 2023 counselling will have two rounds, seats left vacant after the first round of counselling will be filled in the second round. A third-round will be conducted only if any seats are left vacant after the conclusion of the second round.

NEET PG 2023 Counselling :

Eligibility:

To participate in the counselling of NEET PG 2023 a candidate must score more than or equal to the qualifying cutoffs released by MCC. The qualifying cutoff for this year will be released along with the result of NEET PG 2022. Candidates can refer to the table below to the cutoff trends for the past years.

NEET PG Counselling Process 2023:

Step 1: Registration

Candidates who wish to participate in the counselling of NEET PG 2023 need to register on the official website of NBE. The registration process will start after declaration of result. Candidates who register themselves for the first round of NEET PG counselling to not need register for the second round. Steps to register have been listed below:

  1. Go to the official website on MCC-mcc.nic.in
  2. Click on ‘PG Medical Counselling’
  3. Register using a valid email ID and mobile number
  4. Note down the login credentials
  5. Login again to fill the application form
  6. Enter personal/academic details
  7. Check the form before final submission

Step 2: Registration Fee

  1. To participate in the counselling of NEET PG 2023 a candidate needs to pay the registration fee
  2. The registration fee for NEET PG 2023 counselling has to be paid online (Net banking/credit card/debit card)
  3. There are two components of registration fee; refundable and non-refundable

Choice filling

Candidates now have to choose the desired course and colleges from the list given on MCC. A candidate can choose as many options as he/she wants. The options will be given on the left side of the screen and will move to the right side of the page once chosen. Options can be added or deleted from the list.

Candidates are advised to check the choices filled before submitting them. Also, they must keep a copy of the choices filled for future use.

Seat allotment list

NBE will release the result of NEET PG counselling 2023 in the form a seat allotment list. Seats will be allocated on the basis of the options filled by the candidates and their all India ranks.

NEET PG seat allotment list will be uploaded on the official website of MCC in a PDF format. Candidates who make it to the list will be able to download their seat allotment letter by logging into the registered account on the official website.

Reporting to the institute

Candidates who been allocated a seat in the counselling of NEET PG 2023 are required to report to the allocated institute. They must carry all their certificates in original along with a self-attested copy. List of documents that a candidate must carry to the allocated institute is given below.

Documents required at the time of NEET PG counselling 2023

  1. NEET PG admit card 2023
  2. NEET PG 2023 result/rank letter
  3. Class X marksheet/ birth certificate
  4. Marksheets of MBBS
  5. MBBS Degree Certificate
  6. Internship Completion Certificate
  7. Permanent/provisional registration certificate issued by MCI/ SMC
  8. Valid, non-expired and authentic photo ID proof (PAN card/Driving licence/Voter ID/Passport/Aadhar card)
  9. Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  10. Non-creamy layer Certificate (if applicable)
  11. Disability Certificate (if applicable)

Candidates must note that it is mandatory for them to be present physically for verification of documents and confirmation of the allocated seat. If he/she fails to report to the allocated institute, his/her candidature will be forfeited.
