Post Graduate (NEET-PG)

NEET PG 2022 : NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PGDiploma Courses as per Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 read with 10 (D) of Indian Medical Council Act,1956.

  1. No other entrance examination, either at the state or the Institution level, shall be valid for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses.
  2. Qualifying NEET-PG is mandatory for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses under various Universities/ Institutions in the country.
  3. NEET is mandatory even for foreign nationals seeking admission in medical courses in India.

SCOPE OF NEET-PG 2022

NEET-PG 2022 shall be the single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses for the academic session 2022-23 which will include the following:

  1. All India 50% quota seats for all States/Union territories of India.
  2. State quota seats for all States/Union territories of India.
  3. All Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities all across the country.
  4. Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
  5. Post MBBS DNB Courses and Post MBBS NBE Diploma Courses.

The following Medical institutions are not covered by centralized admissions for MD/MS seats through NEET- PG for 2022 session:

  1. AIIMS, New Delhi and other AIIMS
  2. PGIMER, Chandigarh
  3. JIPMER, Puducherry
  4. NIMHANS, Bengaluru
  5. Sree Chitra  Tirunal  Institute  for  Medical  Sciences  and  Technology, Trivandrum

NOTE :-  No State Government/Private Medical college/Universities shall be conducting any separate entrance for admission to their MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses for the admission session 2022-23:

Applications once submitted cannot be withdrawn. Fee shall neither be carried forward to a future date nor refunded under any circumstances. Any claim for refund, adjustment or carrying forward of Application fee will not be entertained on successful submission of application and payment of fee.





Admit Card

  1. Admit Card: Admit cards shall be made live on NBE website https://nbe.edu.in on 7th March 2022. Admit cards will not be issued to candidates found ineligible before conduct of examination.
  2. Candidates will be informed through SMS/Email alerts and website notice regarding availability of the admit card on NBE website. Admit card will not be sent to the candidates by Post/Email.
  3. Candidates are required to download their admit card from the NBE website and affix firmly their latest passport size photograph in the space provided on the admit card. The photograph must meet following specifications:
    1. Size of photograph : Minimum 35x45 mm (and not larger than the box printed on admit card for pasting the photograph) with at least 75% area on the photograph should be occupied with the face & head of the candidate.
    2. It should be a Colour photograph with white background.
    3. The photograph needs to display full front view of the face with a neutral expression. No Caps, Stethoscope, Goggles, Ornaments to be worn.
    4. The photograph should not have reflection or shadow on the face with red eyes.
    5. The photograph needs to be printed on a high quality paper with at least 600 dpi Resolutions.
    6. The photograph must not have kinks, scratches and stains.

Test Day Procedures :

  1. Entry of Candidates as per Time Slots given in the Admit Cards: Candidates are required to report at the ‘Reporting Counter’ of test venue at as per time indicated in their admit cards.
  2. Candidates reporting late or beyond the prescribed time shall not be allowed to appear in the exam under any circumstances. NBE shall not be responsible for any delayed arrival of the candidate in reaching the centre due to any reason.
  3. NBE/Test centre/Designated Agency/Staff on duty shall not be liable under any circumstances for delayed reporting and/or non presentation of mandatory documents.
  4. Candidates carrying E-Aadhaar cards are required to ensure that the photograph is clear and matches their face at the time of exam.
  5. Candidates MUST bring to the test centre the following documents:
    • A). Printed copy of Barcoded/QR Coded Admit card with his/her recent coloured photograph pasted on it.
    • B). Photocopy of Permanent / Provisional SMC/MCI registration*, to be retained by the test centre &
  6. The below mentioned Govt issued photo IDs** (must be original and valid/non-expired), details of which have been provided while filling the application form.
    • Aadhaar Card (with Photograph): First Preference Provide details of Aadhar Card in the application form and bring it to the test centre if it has been issued to you.
    • a). PAN Card
    • b). Driving License
    • c). Passport

✤ Please bring at least one but as many of the above mentioned Photo IDs which are issued to you and details of which have been provided in the application form.

The eligibility criteria for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses is as follows :

  1. Candidates in possession of MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the NMC Act,2019 and the repealed Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possessing permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the NMC/ the erstwhile Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.
  2. Candidate have completed one year of internship or are likely to complete the internship on or before 31st May 2022.
  3. Provisional or permanent medical registration certificate issued by MCI or a State Medical Council. This must be carried on the day of the exam and during admission.
  4. Candidates who have studied/qualified MBBS from Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for All India 50% Quota seats. Only candidates who were nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to study MBBS from Medical Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir shall be eligible for All India 50% quota seats. Such candidates must submit a duly signed affidavit declaring this.

National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-NEET PG 2022 Application Processes:

NBE had released that the NEET PG 2022 application form in the online mode on 15th January, 2022. The last date for NEET PG registration is 25th March, 2022. The following sequence shall be observed while filing the online application form:-

  1. Fill the user registration form to generate User ID/Application ID and Password.
  2. User ID and password will be then, sent through SMS and Email
  3. Fill the application form – Personal Details, Qualification Details (MBBS / Primary Medical Qualification details, Internship Details, SMC/MCI Registration Details), Test Center Details
  4. Upload a recent passport size photograph (Maximum 80 Kb size, in JPG/JPEG format) and signature (Maximum 80 Kb size, in JPG/JPEG format) signature
  5. Choose test city
  6. Make payment of fees in the online mode through debit/credit card or net banking.
  7. Agree to the declaration and Submit Application
  8. Take a print out of the filled application form with transaction ID printed on it.

Important: Test City will be confirmed only after payment of fee is successful.

Edit Window:

Edit window of NEET PG application form 2022 shall be available from 29th March to 7th 2022. Candidates should be able to make any corrections or edit details in their NEET PG application form.

  1. All editable fields in the application form shall be open for the candidate to make any corrections, if so required.
  2. Information entered in the application form can be changed during the “Edit Window”. However, following fields in the application form shall remain non-editable:
    1. Name of the Candidate
    2. Email ID
    3. Nationality
    4. Test City
  3. Subsequent to closure of edit window, deficiency related to images uploaded in the application form shall be communicated to concerned candidates. Deficiency related to images uploaded (photograph, Signature, Thumb Impression) can be corrected during the final edit window i.e. 26nd April to 30th April 2022.

Scheme of NEET-PG 2022

  1. NEET-PG 2022 shall be conducted in a single day & single session as a computer based examination on 21st May 2022.
  2. Syllabus: The syllabus for the exam shall comprise of subject/ knowledge area as per Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by the erstwhile Medical Council of India with prior approval of the Govt of India.
  3. The examination shall be a multiple choice questions delivered using computers network (CBT) as per scheme prescribed. The exam comprises of 200 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in English language only.
  4. Time allotted is 3 hrs 30 min.
  5. There shall be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
  6. Marking Scheme: Allocation of marks for each MCQ shall be as follows:

Result NEET PG 2022

The result for NEET-PG 2022 will be declared by 20th June 2022. The NEET-PG 2022 RESULT shall be available at NBE website:https://nbe.edu.in and https://natboard.edu.in/

  1. Candidates can download their score card from NBE website using their login credentials.
  2. There shall be NO re-evaluation or rechecking or re-totaling of responses marked by the candidates. Requests/Queries for reevaluation/re-totaling shall not be entertained.
  3. The validity of the result of NEET-PG 2022 shall be only for the current admission session i.e. 2022 admission session for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses and cannot be carried forward for the next session of admissions for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses.

NEET PG 2022 counselling

The NEET PG 2022 counselling will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on behalf of the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. NEET PG 2022 counselling will have two rounds, seats left vacant after the first round of counselling will be filled in the second round. A third round will be conducted only if any seats are left vacant after the conclusion of the second round.

MCC will conduct counseling for the following Institutions/Universities:-

a) 50% All India Quota seats of all states except J&K.
b) 100% seats (All India Quota seats + Institutional Quota seats) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/ Central Institutes as per eligibility conditions mentioned in Important Questions related to Scheme of Counselling duly uploaded on MCC website.
c) 100% seats of Deemed Universities.
d) 50% AIQ P.G seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation (wards of ESIC insured persons).
e) All P.G seats of Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions (only Registration part).
f) Central Institutes, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, ABVIMS & RML Hospital and ESIC Institute, PGIMSR, Basaidarapur(50% All India Quota seats and 50% seats of I.P University).

Online registration for NEET PG 2022 counselling

Aspirants of NEET PG 2022 must register themselves on the official website of MCC and fill the application form for participating in the counselling. The application process involves the following steps:

  1. Creating a profile on the official website of MCC
  2. Completing the application form of NEET PG 2022 counselling
  3. Uploading the required documents
  4. Deposing the application fee for NEET PG counselling (credit card/ debit card/ net banking)
  5. Choice filling and locking
  6. Print a copy of the duly filled application for further refrences.
